• fd0os : one-floppy Linux with some NIC drivers; good for system rescue
• Monkey Linux : extract to DOS partition and run; works on Windows 9x/ME (The official site seems to be dead).
• Topologilinux : a free linux distribution to be run on top of any dos/windows system without partitioning your hard disk.
• Syllable : A hobby OS for x86.
  • Click-and-Go: Syllable on Windows
• SELinux A "add-on" to existing linux giving a role-based mandatory access control to Linux distributions like Red Hat, Debian, SuSE? and Mandrake. Multi-Level Security Model (MLS) is also implemented in SELinux to give a prototype on a Secure Modern OS.
• BeatrIX - a free, compact (Less than 200 megabytes) Linux.
• Ubuntu Linux - "Ubuntu" is an ancient African word, meaning "humanity to others".
